About Me!
Hey there, my name is Cheyenne Parker! I am currently a sophomore at the University of North Carolina - Wilmington and I am majoring in Elementary Education. On campus, I have the amazing opportunity to serve on the Link Leadership Council, work as an Orientation Leader, and a Watson Student Leader. After graduation, I would love to move to Houston, Texas and teach second grade for a few years. When I feel I have had enough experience, I then want to join the Peace Corps and teach in an underdeveloped country.
One of the most important things to me is my family! I am lucky to be a part of such a close family who continually supports me no matter what. My mother is the most hilarious person I have ever met in my life. She has countless stories that could captivate anyone for hours on end. I have an older brother, Wyndy, who has been a role model for me since I was in diapers. He is extremely passionate about the things he loves, and is also freakishly smart. Then there is also my older sister, Samantha, who is honestly my best friend. Since we are only 13 months apart, we were super close growing up and (luckily!) have remained close as we have gotten older. Sami currently lives in Houston, Texas and is going to the Art Institute to become a pastry chef. I love my family with every inch of my heart and wouldn't trade them for the world. I have also gained some incredible friends since coming to UNCW. We encourage each other to become the best possible person we can be and I know I have found the kind of friendships people search a lifetime for.
